Leaving for a company retreat and realizing I might have layoff PTSD.

Both times I did an on-site, we were all laid off the next month.
So if I’m quiet it’s because I’m mentally refreshing LinkedIn and emotionally updating my resume… just in case. (still excited to see everyone though!)

I’ve dated a few “celebrities” (using that word SO generously) and they either loved that I treated them like everyone else… or absolutely hated it.

Some really thought I’d tolerate more just because they’re known.

Staying with family or friends often falls under "doubled up" or "couch surfing” and is still considered homelessness.

It's a precarious, temporary situation where you can be asked to leave at any time. This housing insecurity is equivalent to homelessness for many programs.

But for countless survivors, hidden homelessness is an invisible, silent crisis we face.

It’s not literal street homelessness; it's the profound trauma of being psychologically pressured, coerced, or financially abused out of what was once home.

I found myself couch-surfing, all while battling the added stress of being laid off at Epic after abuse.

That period was deeply traumatic, a constant fight for stability and safety.

When you picture homelessness, do you picture a couch? Most don't.
