Investigating him would suggest that something could be wrong, they can't allow that as their entire defense rests on blustering their way through this and doubling down on all their lies.

Trump loyalists are buying up election companies. Trump is sending out the DOJ to hunt down voter rolls in blue states and threatening fed deployment unless surrendered. Trump is actively saying elections aren't necessary, aren't fair, and he won in 2020.

This isn't a novel, this is real life.

It feels like three or four different flavors of bigot and authoritarian desperate to try and do as much damage as possible before anyone stops them, even if they ruin themselves in the process.
