The show worked on character loops. You follow whoever in the cast intrigues you. Stay with them and you'll see a complete cycle of their story. The slow realisation that two of the characters exist outside the loop structure everyone else was trapped in was honestly breathtaking storytelling.

I still think at least once a week about the year I spent going to see The Burnt City every month. That was an incredible thing to be a part of, even simply as a member of the audience. A brain-breaking piece of art and a whole world you could live inside. Was never gonna last forever, but I miss it
