Possibly. What has pleased me has been the goals have been coming from multiple sources. Previously we were very dependent on Isak. I don’t think we’re far from being a very good team.

Not sure goals is what we’re struggling for. It’s clean sheets. Too many individual errors. A keeper who can dominate the box and shout at the back 4 would make a significant difference to the team in my view.

Quite. We have one immigration problem in this country and that is the levels are insufficient for our needs.

supported the proposals.

One supportive MP said: "Immigration is the number one issue brought up by my residents. I have to be able to answer their queries with action that meets the depth of their concerns. It would be a total disaster for us if we loosen off on efforts to cut immigration. I can't get a hearing on housing investment or waiting-list improvements or anything because people bring everything back to immigration."

This MP wants to talk about the NHS and house building and thinks cracking down on immigration will enable that.

They don't seem to realise that without migration the NHS will buckle and the houses won't get built.

And they will also further fuel the toxic politics of immigration.

Yeah, I agree. As you’ve said we keep getting pipped to preferred targets by clubs we want to overtake. It’s very frustrating. All this will change when Eddie leads us to Champions League glory though.

We scored twice and but for he who must not be named would have had 3. I’m not worried about the attack. Conceding soft goals is the problem. That’s a couple of things. People making bad decisions and a dodgy keeper. Second and third goals were very soft.

And that there is the problem. People aren’t interested in policy detail. They are interested in what people stand for. Polanski, for all his dodgy economics, and promising things he can’t deliver, is right about immigration. He stands for something people want to vote for.

It’s not just lousy comms though. They have done some good things but they are very wrong on immigration, the one policy area dominating the news. They are determined that cruelty is the way to go. Are people supposed to ignore that because they made some good changes for leasehold owners?

Mostly worried about the keeping. Scoring not a problem. My view of Pope: great shot stopper, can’t catch, positionally very ordinary, makes too many bad decisions. We tried for Trafford in the summer. He would definitely be an upgrade.

His major weakness is he can’t catch.

They are much more likely to relocate to France but it’s ok because that’s part of the EU and we’re … oh …

They should have taught them better.

One for Big Joe.

Yes. Barcelona obviously favourites but I give us a 30% chance.

27.02.2026 18:19 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It’s mad to me that if we get past Barcelona we will have a very winnable quarter final.

That’s a fair summary

The take away for Labour on this is that they need to change course fast on hostile anti-immigration, anti-trans, anti-disabled policies if they want to avoid a humiliating defeat in the General Election. Time is running out to shift voters. It is going to take a massive mea culpa to get out of this

It is one of his best. He has another rather good one on hypothesis tests with jelly beans I have had cause to point to in the past.

He’s going nowhere. 1 more season for definite.

If he drops too deep they just foul him. Near the box they need to be careful. His touch is top class. Listening to pundits like Rooney on Tuesday night made it easy to understand why he’s been a colossal failure as a manager.

26.02.2026 08:58 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He has so much talent. Just needs a little time. I think he’s best in this formation. If he can get the ball to his feet like that in positions between the defence and midfield he is a massive threat and will unlock defences in a way we haven’t been able to.

26.02.2026 08:54 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

πŸ˜‚ indeed. No coffee when I wrote that.

Yes. It either has to be intentional or, if not, reckless. It’s clearly neither.

26.02.2026 07:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He jumped for the ball, player backed into him, gravity took over. He can’t just hang there. Nobody is telling me that was either deliberate or reckless.

26.02.2026 07:04 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Genuinely, what is it for?

No catholic but I believe the Pope is ineffable, which as I understand it, means he can’t be wrong on matters of religious doctrine. He’s not just an expert he gets to determine what the answer is.

Not interested in negativity. Plenty of videos from seasons gone by if people want to feel morose. I watch football for fun. I see a squad of players and a manager who care and who have won something and work their socks off. That’s plenty for me.

Doesn’t matter who we play, tell me ma me ma we’re going to Budapest, tell me ma me ma.
