In Castlevania, it's a type of Yokain or ghost. In the Flintstones cartoon I watched, it was a cop lol (Never read the comics Shmoo came from)

RIP to Ace Frehley. To me the guy was a legend. I loved his riffs and while he didn't have strong vocals, his songs were almost memorable.
