That's it for this year's budget address. Time to find out if Senate Republicans are going to find common ground or bluster their way out of doing...well anything. #PABudgetAddress

This has become far too common across these kinds of communities β and there are 56,000 of these households across Pennsylvania, people living on land that more and more is being bought up by private equity. @governor.pa.gov
That's right! Let's do this.
@governor.pa.gov is right on point. Making transit a consideration in new housing is absolutely critical. #PABudgetAddress

Now we're getting down to it! Where's the revenue coming from? It's time to regulate and tax skill games and LEGALIZE RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA.

Last year, we came together to advance the first new initiative in 54 years to address poverty and help working families.
Madam Speaker insisted on this.

Pennsylvania has to do better. Looking at you, Senate GOP. #PABudgetAddress
"Iβm calling on lawmakers to put a minimum wage bill on my desk and I will sign it!"
@governor.pa.gov knows it's past time to get this done. #RaiseTheWage #PABudgetAddress
cartoon pennsylvania says ok this is ridiculous, time to #RaisetheWage. call your rep and tell them to vote yes on HB2189
Our minimum wage in Pennsylvania has been stuck at $7.25/hour for the last 16 years.
In that time, every single one of our neighboring states has raised the wage for their workers. @governor.pa.gov #PABudgetAddress
Weβve already received more than 4,300 applications from child care centers to pay their workers and recruit more...
[this budget].. includes an additional $10 million to raise that recruitment and retention bonus from $450 to $630. @governor.pa.gov
3. HIRE AND TRAIN LOCAL WORKERS.
4. Commit to high standards of environmental protection
We can have data and we can have accountability and safety. #PABudgetAddress
We want fast data, but @governor.pa.gov also knows we need:
1. Developers to bring their own power generation to keep our energy prices stable
2. Strict transparency standards and community engagement

Hearing commentators straight up say that when asked to pass a minimum wage increase Republicans' response is "what are you going to do for us" is telling. How about we ask Republican state senators: What are you going to do for your constituents? #RaisetheWage

Another shout out to
@repjasondawkins.com for continuing to point out the patently ridiculous it is to argue that businesses can't handle raising the wage while refusing to talk about what's happening to average Pennsylvanians who make those businesses run. #RaisetheWage
And here comes Rep Gleim saying "there are many states without a minimum wage". Well first there's a federal minimum wage. And second, our economy isn't strong enough.
I wonder if people having more money to spend would improve our economy?
Big shout to @repronigreen.com for calling out what a ridiculous argument is being made by Republican legislators. #RaisetheWage
