09.03.2026 23:59 β π 53 π 18 π¬ 1 π 0Today, I'm starting work on Chapter 9 of my manuscript---the multiplex. This is where it all starts coming together (or not).
09.03.2026 20:40 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is it?
09.03.2026 14:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Evidence suggests most Americans are fine with paying taxes, but they find the current distribution to unreasonably favor the rich.
09.03.2026 14:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is a great example of how Fox manipulates it's viewers. Because they trust only Fox, the Fox audience is completely vulnerable to manipulation by Fox. How could they know that what they're seeing with their own eyes isn't real? They couldn't. They're seeing it happen, it's right there!
08.03.2026 15:18 β π 1486 π 435 π¬ 28 π 14I take Bookerβs proposal as pandering and his announcement as stunt. This is not serious policy. It would cost a fair amount and have little general benefit. Itβs made to appeal to people who donβt understand taxesβitβs insulting.
09.03.2026 13:40 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Rather than continuing the Ronald Reagan framing of government and taxation being bad, Iβm looking for a political party to make positive case for government and its coercive power to provide public goods.
09.03.2026 13:22 β π 34 π 13 π¬ 0 π 0Trump just put in charge of Iran a guy considered to be a hardliner *before* we killed his father, mother, and wife. We helped cement his rule by blowing up a girls elementary school, scorching their skies, and cutting off their water. We should expect retaliationβand blame Republicans for it.
09.03.2026 13:16 β π 563 π 155 π¬ 10 π 2US political powers failed to hold Trump and his administration accountable for crimes in America, so now we have crimes on people of other nations. War crimes. International crimes. Thus expanding the list of potential bodies that can hold law breakers to account. They must.
09.03.2026 13:16 β π 16 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0Would it have been so much worse if it had been a nuke? Consider the fact that birth deficiencies and rates of leukemia and cancer in Iraq, post 2003- invasion, are worse than what was observed in Hiroshima. In Japan, rates of leukemia rose by 660% in the years following the bomb. In Falluja, it increased by 2,200%. The toxicity of war has never been greater, and we are in no way reckoning with the scope of the horror that's been unleashed.
The real damage comes years later, with elevated cancer rates, leukemia clusters, respiratory disease, cardiovascular failure, neurological damage, reproductive issues.
This is chemical warfare, with delayed carnage. Worse than radiation sickness.
I am ashamed to be American today.

a picture of a huge, low, heavy cloud of black oil over Tehran
This is the cloud of oil currently hovering over Tehran, released when the US bombed the city's oil depots. A stew of particulate matter, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, heavy metals & volatile organic compounds is raining down into the city right now. 1/2
09.03.2026 12:41 β π 407 π 275 π¬ 11 π 34The DOJ released evidence, which the FBI deemed credible, that the President of the United States sexually and physically assaulted a 13 year old girl AND she was afraid to talk about it because Trump would kill herβand itβs somehow not the biggest scandal in American history?
09.03.2026 00:46 β π 8408 π 3093 π¬ 141 π 115So according to the WSJ a US Senator conspired with another country to manipulate the US into starting a war, am I getting this right
07.03.2026 16:25 β π 12389 π 4823 π¬ 551 π 474Iranβs people were facing a horrible shortage of water before the war began. If we are destroying desalination plants and setting fire to Teheran we are committing unfathomable crimes.
08.03.2026 02:19 β π 25229 π 8085 π¬ 783 π 329Noted. Thank you.
07.03.2026 18:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fair point!
07.03.2026 18:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We are living through an amazing time where the internet is full of novel websites, easily searchable and accessible, at the same time AI is consuming that content to produce useful summary content. Both of these cannot last. Marvel the moment.

ICE under Trump 2.0 built an unprecedented media operation - deploying videographers to raids, pumping out edgy social posts, swiping pop music for hype videos - and the main metric for evaluating its impact shows that Americans now hate ICE more than ever

Under cooperative leadership acting in good faith, the USβwith the globeβs largest militaryβ(occasionally) made the world safer. Under bellicose leadership strong-arming peers, the US has made the world significantly less safe than it was just two years ago.
