48 hours removed from WrestleDream, my one big take has nothing to do with show length of violence or any of that jazz.
It's that Sting has never looked cooler than in his 2025 Gandalf era.
Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe was EXCELLENT. A pairing I can always rely on.
Tailgate Brawl is a great concept. A pre-show is supposed to inspire last-minute buys. I can't think of a better way to do that than with FTR vs. JetSpeed: one of the most foolproof match-ups in AEW.

I've been very impressed with Ricochet's willingness to make himself look like the least cool guy in the room since turning. He's willing to look like a total jackass, leaning into his natural awkwardness. It's making for some good fiction. Cool Guy Efed Heels are overdone.

I'm feeling *great* about AEW at the moment. TV has been consistently strong for weeks and Grand Slam Australia hit with me. Revolution looks like it's going to have an out-of-this-world lineup. Tony Khan is back in the weeds doing what he does best. Keep it going!
I don't think it was worth being upset over, though I think they could have avoided any criticism by using clearer marketing from day one. It worked out in the end. One of the most successful money-making shows in AEW history. Thanks for reading!
