Today's forest finds!

Just 1 bag of litter today as focused on pulling up Himalayan Balsam Seedlings. Came across this bottle, wonder what year this is from!

Another 4 bags a litter done. Happy with that! 2 bags were full of perfectly good clothes that could have easily been donated rather than throwing into the forest. Make it make sense!

The 2026 Himalayan Balsam Bashing season has begun! It's easy when they are tiny so start grubbing these out now!

A little bit of a Sunday morning tidy up. I may have snuck through a fence to do this but...sue me 🤣👍

Another two bags of rubbish collected from the forest today. I did 4 yesterday. So much rubbish! Why are people so willing to throw it somewhere so beautiful 🤬

Painting done! I'm going to have to figure out some to cover the battery packs. But otherwise we are done!

- travel the wildlands with the other fog spirits, spreading fear & wonder in equal measure

A bin bag of rubbish

Another sack of dumped rubbish removed from my forest this evening. I begrudgingly put some bird seed and meal worms on the new bird feeder. I may as well make use of it!

I have tended my forest for over two years and not a single human has appeared, blissful tranquil seclusion! But today a rickety bird feeder has appeared on one of my trees. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Feeding birds is a good thing but also eww people.....😡

Staff Step 2. Woodworm eviction. It is not without some guilt that the resident woodworms must be removed. After all it was I who removed their beautiful home from the forest. But it is unwise to bring into one's domicile (which happens to contain many items made of wood) a colony of woodworms.

Filthy homo sapiens have been sullying my forest with rubbish. It is, as ever, my mission to restore this to its pristine state. I have managed to collect two full sacks over the weekend. A 7 year curse upon litterers! May their keys always be misplaced and their WiFi be slow!

One of the issues I have, due to my curse to walk this earth in pain without balance, is that mobility aids are not conducive to haunting the woods as a mossy horror. To this end I have decided to craft a more fitting staff. Sanding and straightening today.
