The good news: Takiko is finished. 🎉
The bad news: no ice castles 😢

With the tensions in Minneapolis, our group decided it wasn’t a good time to be tourists.

We’re going to visit the same group of friends in Wisconsin instead. I hope we can still get some nice winter photos.

We had some troubleshooting with the resin printer, but the last of the gems have been sanded and hit with a clear coat

Just the pink resin gems left to print. Assuming we don’t have printer issues, Takiko could be finished tomorrow.

I used fabric + HTV to make a Genbu summoning scroll for a prop

I am still undecided if I want to wear Sphene or G’raha for this.

Kyle 3D modeled the pieces I needed, though the resin printer has been a learning experience.

Doing some surgery to get a metal band inside the hat to provide more support for the accessories.

For the missing components on Takiko’s Shinzaho, I used worbla + apoxie sculpt. To add some extra detail, I stamped with a filigree clasp.

The references aren’t consistent on the number of stripes for the hat; I settled on 5.

She’s long overdue, but I’m so happy she’s almost done 💖

My struggle with something like this on Etsy is shipping fees and time (depending on where they’re coming from)
