Six years ago today, 23 people were killed & 22 others were injured in a targeted attack against the Latino community in El Paso, Texas.

Racist hate & easy access to guns is a deadly combination devastating our country and tearing apart our families. We must build the safer future El Paso deserved.

During his first term, Senator @ossoff.bsky.social has proven himself to be a strong and principled leader, championing landmark bills like the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and supporting a range of gun safety laws.

We must fight to keep him in the US Senate.

My heart is with Midtown Manhattan today, where another workplace has been terrorized by a dangerous person with a gun. Americans should not have to go to work and fear for their lives.

Senseless shootings cannot continue to be our country’s reality, and our leaders must be stronger.

This tragedy was preventable. We owe it to the victims, survivors, and their loved ones to build a future where a night at the movies is always safe.

For victims, survivors, and the millions of Americans who live in fear, our government is not upholding its end of the deal. It's failing to protect our safety.

This Independence Day, I urge elected officials to set us free from gun violence.

Since then, we’ve helped pass hundreds of gun safety laws at both the state and federal level. We are committed to continuing that work and building a future safe for all.

One week ago, Melissa Hortman and her husband were taken from us in a horrific act of political violence.

Political violence is never justified. Armed extremism is a threat to democracy.

Honor Melissa by rejecting division—and choosing courage.

True freedom means eliminating systemic racism, rejecting white supremacy, and ending gun violence once and for all.

On #Juneteenth, we honor the courage of those who fought for freedom and worked to end slavery.

We also recognize that the struggle against racism continues—Black Americans still disproportionately face the threat of gun violence in their homes, schools, and communities.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court just upheld a dangerous Tennessee law prohibiting gender-affirming care for minors.

This shameful decision threatens the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ young people across the country, and leaves trans youth even more vulnerable to gun suicide.

The vast majority of Americans support commonsense gun laws. Now is the time for Republicans and Democrats to come together and protect our kids.

We have the tools to stop gun violence. It’s up to our leaders to get it done.

Congress must follow the leadership of @repjamesclyburn.bsky.social and close the Charleston loophole once and for all. We owe it to the victims, their families, and Charleston to fix our broken system and make sure no other city goes through this kind of heartbreak again.

I wrote this after President Trump survived an assassination attempt. It's still relevant today.

Melissa Hortman, top Democrat in Minnesota House, shot and killed Gov. Tim Walz confirmed Saturday morning that Hortman and her husband Mark had both been killed in what he called targeted political violence.

Melissa was a true public servant who dedicated her life building a better, safer Minnesota. This is a profound loss for all who loved Melissa and Mark, and for our nation. There will be more to say, but this much is clear: we must protect our democracy from those who try to destroy it with a gun.

I’m devastated to learn that my friend, Minnesota Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark Hortman, were killed in last night’s shooting.
