If I was picking person of the year, without a shadow of a doubt, it would be Gisele Pelicot. She has and will change things around the world.

Paul Heaton is an absolute legend. Saw him tonight, Hammersmith Apollo. Amazing. So nostalgic for my teenage and university years.

Lewisham, London. 2 big bins (black for general, green for recycling). And a smaller grey bin for food waste.

You can also get a brown bin for garden waste on request (for a charge I think). I don't need that.

The younger generation? I've been putting crisps in sandwiches since at least 1980 🥪

Alt text on images makes a real difference for people with visual impairments and anyone that could do with a bit more context. If you go to menu > settings > accessibility you can “require alt text before posting” to basically force yourself to remember to do it.

It's a shared garden and the landlord maintains it. Haven't had any problems with this arrangement up to now (been here 10 years)

My landlord's cut down all the bushes and shrubs in the garden. For no good reason. Where are all the birds going to go? - presumably not our garden any more 😢
