Item! Could Stan Lee be collaborating with Paul McCartney? I think the answer is no, unless anyone wants to tell me differently.
Kenny Everett gets a mention too.
There’s a bonus one off comic drawn by Gene Colan.
Plus there’s an ad for a special offer on Sea-Monkeys in Spider-man weekly

Dracula Lives! Cover dated 50 years ago today.
Not sure on Dracula’s politics, but all those crucifixes would mean he’s unable to attend any far right rallies these days

Oh dear, looks like the Charles Atlas advert has upset the Bluesky puritans. Worse than the Victorian age.

Your weekly dose of Apes, cover dated today 50 years ago.
Moench & Alcala’s adaptation of the film Conquest of the Planet of the Apes continues with lots of action involving making telephone calls which occurs on 6 of the 10 pages of comic strip this week

Slow handclap for the publisher that’s finally paid me an honorarium of Β£100 *6 years* after agreeing to do so (and many, many emails). Why are publishers surprised to discover contracts are a thing and authors might actually want them to be honoured? πŸ™„

I mention those two together as they both were published by Epic not far apart time wise, but only for one of them has the film of the comics survived

They scanned the Epic issues from the comics, but the Dark Horse material they had the film still I believe.
Rebellion had access to the film for their edition of Last American, but DC didn’t have that when doing their Marshal Law book. Looks poor.

If you’ve got the patchy DC edition of Marshal Law for example, you’d definitely wanted to get hold of the Epic originals, even the trade edition, as the printing is a lot better.

I guess they maybe the only books in the partwork series which are worth more than cover price. Though there were some titles that hadn’t been reprinted before.

Thanks. I see there’s a McKeever story in the Ares comic too

21.02.2026 00:14 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Where did the McKeever Wolverine originally appear?

This all came up awhile back. I’ve got 3 of the b&w comics, but couldn’t work out what other titles there was in the series because the titles of comics were difficult to search for online

It’s sad really. When I moved here in 1986 it was a fairly lively place. I suppose the local US bases did help liven the town up a bit. But now it’s woes are not dissimilar to many towns across the country.

I sadly remain sceptical.
So is that official, we are the poorest town in the east of England?

This is supposed to be the β€˜nice place’, but there is a lot of accounts who turn off replies. Up to them of course, but it puts me off from having anything to do with them. And they shouldn’t be allowed to quote post me and I can’t reply.

No I think you’re right. They are on there fairly regularly, but nowhere near the same amount as the tv. As the audience is unselected, unlike the tv version, it does seem to be more left leaning with little time for Reform

Thought they might do this. Thankfully I have the original comics, so unlike the Scream and Action collections I can save myself some money for once.

For the record, the Cancel Haus guy has launched a new kickstarter and all mentions of Frazer Brown have been removed. This is probably due to a man at the cross roads having a word with him.

I hacked ChatGPT and Google's AI – and it only took 20 minutes I found a way to make AI tell you lies – and I'm not the only one.

I got a tip that all over the world, people are using a dead-simple hack to manipulate AI behavior. It turns out changing what AI tells other people can be as easy as writing a blog post *on your own website*

I didn’t believe it, so I decided to test it myself www.bbc.com/future/artic...
