My oldest child turns 18 today. I am trying to be happy, but the fact he has to register with Selective Service is making today feel heavy instead.

I have faith the world will see what you speak of, it just gets hard when I know there is no guarantee myself and my kids will live to see it.
But, I guess there are no guarantees in life in even the best of times. We just take it a day at a time, and try to hold on to our goodness.
