Should add - trying to finish multiple WIPs before I use this sweater yarn. Yes, the shame is real πŸ˜…

Been there, done that. Bonus - was cleaning up my place and found a bin with three (3) batches of sweater-quantity yarn! When I post a project on Ravelry I’ll always note if it’s a β€œstashbuster” so I can feel better about using it up. Currently on a yarn diet but often failing 🧢 🧢

I initially misread your post as saying β€œthey did it for a treason” πŸ™„

The puppy reminds me of the Toddler’s Creed - β€œIf I want it, it is mine”

Your tension looks fine! Besides - as a friend said to me - blocking fixes all that

Zuckerberg would do this. Just read β€œCareless People” - he sold out the data of users in Hong along to the Chinese govt. Yeah, he’d do this in a handshake

About 30 years ago, I believe it was A&E that used to air this in the afternoon. The series was new to me; I really enjoyed it! Man, Ian MacShane could rock a pair of jeans and a plain white T-shirt πŸ”₯

Mark Carney seemed pretty proud that it had received federal funding. And that with its content, it really could only have been Made in Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

β€œDon’t Stop Me Now” is my ringtone. Always makes me smile

Oh, that cigarette scene

Didn’t he write this for John Lennon, who was having trouble moving to the US? Or am I misremembering?

Loved that version. And the song β€œThe Hungry Years” - hauntingly beautiful. When I was a teen, I had the Neil Sedaka Songbook and played these on the piano - never quite achieving his mastery, but I tried. β€œBreaking Up” was so much fun to play (the slow version, of course πŸ˜‰)

Looks like AI to me (although I’m not an expert in AI)

I know they do - I’d thought they’d refused to attend if it was private. Oh well- I assume they had no choice in the matter

Based on how β€˜truthful’ he was about Monica Lewinsky, I have low expectations of whatever Bill might say. And why behind closed doors? πŸ™„

Thanks also to manipulation of SM by Musk and Zuckerberg in egregious ways. We always forget their role - and they’re still doing it πŸ™„

Was going to say: hope you get yours done in time and that you’re happy with it πŸ’―. Lots of helpful knitters in this place if you ever need encouragement

I often have a few on the go: one for TV-watching, one that’s more challenging, and then another because I like it. Then I don’t finish one - and start another. And so it goes 🀣
I did pull out one that was in time-out for maybe two years? Took a different approach to it, finished it and love it now

I suspect knitters and crocheters do that movement when knitting/crocheting - another benefit of the fibre arts! 🧢

Looks like we’re both right - I looked it up and it aired on Global, CBC and NBC. It was Old Firehall Productions (I was close 😁)

Interesting! When I was a kid, I seem to recall watching it initially on CBC - I think it was by Firehouse Productions? But I could be wrong - it was a long time ago

Another great flick on Tubi is Hundreds of Beavers - very clever indie B&W film that harkens back to Charlie Chaplin and Looney Tunes-style animation. Done with a very small budget (much spent on beaver costumes 🦫 🦫 🦫)
