Almost as funny as I think I am. Dog dad. Marvel. Star Wars. Disney. Philadelphia Eagles. And, like, democracy. Orlando adjacent.

Trump is summarily executing people suspected of being drug dealers, without providing any proof.

How close are we to Trump ordering the execution of Americans he considers opponents? https://robertreich.substack.com/p/trumps-illegal-executions

It’s just going to be wide open, unapologetic bigotry from here on out.

I know it's too easy to grow numb to the constant flood of bigotry that comes out of his mouth but it does seem morally important you don't allow yourself or anyone else to become desensitized to this vile racism as a normal part of our politics

The only thing that has stopped me from getting it and replacing my old, wonky HP is the lack of color printing. On the rare occasion that I still print, color matters fairly often (luggage tags for some trips being the most common)

This is my "Dutch Auction" theory of authoritarianism.

It's no coincidence, for example, that the Wannsee Conference, where the Nazi top leadership signed off on the Final Solution, took place just after the military tide turned outside Moscow, and the U.S. declared war on Germany.

Shame, all those years of SEALs & DEVGRU but Bradley couldn't spot an obvious trap set up by the world's least trustworthy people.

Of course the illegal order they gave Bradley which he followed has now become his "combat decision" for which he is responsible. It was always going to be that way.

Sirianni can't demote Patullo because when he does, and the offense remains the same, everyone will have to admit that Nick is the problem. His offensive philosophy stinks, he is unable to get his team ready to play at their best each week, and he has no ability to right the ship when things go bad

Lecturing on Watergate this morning and trying to decide how to communicate "no, Congress used to care when presidents did crimes!" without derailing the lecture and/or sobbing

There's a little bit of a "1 seed curse" developing in the NFC:

Actually, leftover scumbags from the NIXON administration.

Cheney, Rumsfeld, Roger Ailes, Roger Stone, Kissinger, all should have died in prison at a bare minimum. The George W Bush administration would never have even happened if we didn't let this nest of fascist ratfuckers fester.

Look, there is no way to avoid TPUSA. You can give trolls a C-, B, B+. It won't matter. They can even get an A overall but if you give the feedback the very constructive OU instructor did, you're on the list. The assignment could be 2% of the grade (it might be in that class!). There is no defense.

Sure, they've made an environmentally catastrophic mass hallucination disinformation plagiarism Clippy that will destabilize the world, but also their other goal is to replace human workers entirely and let us humans starve. A boycott of AI is the most important boycott of your entire life.

Meant to say this here for a while. I listen to a lot of podcasts, mostly sports.

The weekly appearance by @denizselman33.bsky.social on the @phlysports.bsky.social show is by far the most informative, accessible, and entertaining thing I hear (especially NFL). Suggesting otherwise is just dumb

Who can put up fewer points? The Philadelphia Eagles at (almost) full strength, or the Los Angeles Chargers with Trey Lance?

Zillow Removes Climate Risk Scores From Home Listings

Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

Don't look up!

Trump wants the next presidential inauguration to, unconstitutionally, be him -- and he wants it inside a big ballroom with an underground bunker to keep the 1 million citizens wanting to storm the White House to prevent this at bay

This SHOULD be enough. But it won't be.

Otherwise sane people in this country have been conditioned that they're very wise if they believe "It's not enough to tell me to vote AGAINST the worst person in the world becoming president. You gotta give me something to vote FOR!"

Top 3 reasons my wife and I are on track to retire at reasonable ages:

1) Our familes were there for us when we were young so we never fell too far into debt

2) Never having kids

And a distant 3) Whatever popular, lazy tips you want to pick.

We wouldn't write a book suggesting the key was #3.

Wonder if Nick Sirianni noticed the Jags had the ball at their own 21 with just 20 seconds on the clock and actually managed to get a FG by trying to score.
