A lot of people say AI isn't very good for the world and its outputs are routinely unreliable, but these haters fail to see how it's revolutionizing how we incinerate schoolchildren.

I’m just recovered from a two week cold that was a veritable festival of snot, and now I’m sick with something else β€” sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, lethargy β€” so maybe strep throat. UGH. I’m at the doc now getting tested.

If you like physical puzzles (not jigsaw, but navigating a space like in Zelda), I cannot recommend Monument Valley enough. It’s clever and beautiful and soothing, with a dose of MC Escher. (It’s on my phone and surely other platforms too.)

β€œAt the end of the day, she didn’t sound any better than some of these ultra-conservative people who were demeaning Black and Brown folk on a regular basis,” said Rev. Rodney Sadler, a Bible scholar and longtime community activist in Charlotte. β€œIt felt like a betrayal of the utmost.”

Cunningham’s comments proved so problematic for Sadler that he said he realized that she was β€œno longer worthy of being our representative” and he had to run against her. β€œIt drove me to a point of saying, β€˜She needs to go, and she needs to go now,’” the 58-year-old pastor, who works at Charlotte’s Union Presbyterian Seminary, told Bolts.

this guy challenged a sitting Democratic lawmaker in yesterday's primary, angered by her pro-ICE vote, and he ousted her 70% to 22%.

I have never been more disappointed by the ending of a game than I was by Outer Wilds. So much work, so much dying, so little reward. (Lots of people love it, but it was not for me and I'm bummed.)

For years on my old blog I published the names of servicemembers who died in Iraq & Afghanistan. No other outlets were.

These are the first 4 Americans to die in the Iran War.
Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35
Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42
Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39
Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20

FUCK OFF JARED POLIS @colorado.gov !
MAY YOU BURN EVERY SLICE OF TOAST
MAY YOU ALWAYS STUB YOUR TOE IN THE DARK
MAY YOU BE PLAGUED BY HANGNAILS AND REGRETS
MAY YOU NEVER HOLD ELECTED OFFICE AGAIN

So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:

- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.

You cannot talk like this about any other minority in America.

And if it was any other president’s adviser who said something like this about any other minority, it’d be the instant end of their presidency.

Local zoning is the way! A lot of these are being stopped or stalled by neighborhood organizing.

These warehouses often need to be purchased, permitted, approved for occupancy and specs. Each one of those steps can be interrupted.

Ppl are pressuring corps not to sell, counties to deny permits, etc

When Trump came to power, he ripped up the peace deal that Obama had made, and used the uncertainty he created as an excuse to bomb Iran, insisting he had ended the problem he had created once and for all, except now he's bombing them again to solve the problem he created and previously solved?

Electing Trump the first time could have been seen as an aberration, a quirk of US politics that would not be repeated. But electing him a second time sent a clear signal to the rest of the world that it is imperative to reduce military and economic dependence on the US because it is unstable.

They went to war with Iran (which nobody in America was asking for) so they could conjure an excuse to allow ICE to keep murdering Americans and teargassing schools here at home with impunity (which nobody in America was asking for).
