canberra had for a while now been the ONLY state or territory in australia to not provide direct games funding. that finally changed today.

huge congrats to @jarrodfn.bsky.social and everyone else at Candev who isn't on bluesky for all their hard work!

And honestly, the fact that dodgy fuckers will go out of their way to trick you into a read receipt is how you know that you should turn them off.
I know if you are on gmail you can disable them for your entire org.

For me it is mostly the former: lowers the anxiety level.
But also yes: the less shit you are allowing to be tracked the more secure everything will be.
Dodgy fuckers will also put in images with tracking to know if you have loaded it, so I also have all external image loading disabled...
