I find this a hilarious marker of the incompetence of the entire Trump administration: “We identified people to take over Iran, then accidentally killed them all.”

I'd want to try it face-to-face first of all, to iron out the lumps in the format. But I think the heart of it is the face-to-face play, and having people who know the game in the room to make sure you're doing it right, and who you can ask for clarifications and help if you get stuck.

Here's an idea. If I could find a space and offer hands-on intro/tuition sessions on the great classic card and board games, three or four games an evening over several weeks, who would be interested? I'm talking rummy, bridge, bezique, backgammon, go, etc.

Well, 'greatest' is a matter of opinion--and size. 1829 and its sister 1829: Northern Board (released 1981) were the only two ever released in long-boxes.

That's on my wants list--I love the work of the Rahman Brothers, and have a copy of Down With The King on my shelf, where I'm afraid it's likely to stay, as I can't see ever finding willing bodies to play it with me.

In four or five years of reviewing, I I think the magazine sent me a game I was already planning to buy... once. (It was Res Arcana.) The rest of the time, games for review are often not to your taste and in a lot of cases they're not very good.

When I was writing for it, Tabletop Gaming paid £30 for a half-page review. Understanding a game, getting it to table (with 2-3 people), playing it, evaluating it and writing the review is about half a day's work. Would you do half a day's work for £30? Or does it not cover pizza for the players?
