A beautiful day in beautiful surroundings for yesterday's fieldwork in Cumbria ☀️⛰️. Glad we missed the rain the day before and the heat of today.

Help #hedgehogs from the comfort of your sofa!🦔 It's so easy to take part in The National Hedgehog Monitoring Programme, just identify photos of hedgehogs in our camera trap photos! And May's top spotter will win a @naturespy.bsky.social camera!

Take part, see how many you can spot👇

What an excellent spring day to kick off the #NHMP field season ☀️ (though I'd forgotten how heavy the cameras are 🙈)

Field season number 3 of the National Hedgehog Monitoring Programme is underway 🦔🥳

First post here (finally!) 👋🏻

A bit about me:
As a conservation scientist, I'm currently helping to run a pilot national hedgehog monitoring programme 🦔. Before this, I worked on another adorable native species, gaining my PhD on the hazel dormouse.

Looking forward to connecting with you all! 🌎
