I miss George W Bush- so hell has frozen over. This is a testament to how bad things are right now- I am still not a fan of Bush's policies, but Bush worked within the framework of the United States, and I do believe he loves this country and is a good man.

The tariffs are seeking to isolate us from the global economy, and will help China consolidate power, especially in the Asia Pacific region.

This will mean the loss of all kinds of manufacturing AND "white collar" jobs, and you will see ripple effects in "company towns" like Everett, WA where OTHER industries (e.g. the companies that serve primarily people who work for Boeing) are located.

Sales will decrease because prices will increase, partly because of an increase in costs, and partly because of the tariffs on the finished airplane. Eurasia/Asia is buying the most planes in total, this makes Airbus WAY more competitive to sell in those regions.

The ripple effects of these tariffs will be widespread- look at the airplane manufacturing industry. Two big players- Airbus and Boeing. Boeing relies on imported parts for their planes, so costs of production will increase. But sales will likely decrease, creating holes in their prod schedule

This is for sure the worst policy decision, even worse than Iraq.

In the wake up an impending TikTok ban, why are we not focusing on the actual national security risks- Our National Security Advisor ROUTINELY using Signal- a non secure form of communication- to coordinate on China, Gaza, Ukraine, etc- but TikTok is the threat? Maybe our NSA should be monitored!

This is why you don't hire a failed businessman to run your country. America will be his 7th bankruptcy. Adding tariffs across the board to every country will rise prices to ALL goods, and small businesses will be greatly impacted.

Cory Booker looked Presidential today. He stood on business, he didn't back down and run to have "conversations" (a.k.a. giving a platform to extremists) with far right wing bloggers to make himself more electable. He stood for the principles that America was founded on.

Wisconsin stood up and said "NO THANK YOU" to buying elections with Susan Crawford's win today for the Wisconsin Supreme Court- and a huge loss for Elon Musk who keeps trying to buy elections...

Senator Cory Booker made history today, not just by stepping up to break Strom Thurmond's racist record holding position- but also by being an African American who was one of the very people that Strom Thurmond was attempting to condemn by filibustering the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
