Migrated from the hell hole and found it much better for my mental health here. I live a quiet retired life in rural Suffolk, UK with Himself who is finally working part-time in the wind down to retirement, 12 yr old arthritic dog, 2 cats and 3 chickens.
Six years ago, his principles were entirely different.

This is Benjamin Netanyahu's son Yair. While working class American service people are dying in the gratuitous war his father and Donald Trump started, Yair is poolside in Miami chilling.
No word on where Donald Trump's children were, just that they were 100% *not* wearing a uniform.
Let all 94,000 make their own way back. We don't want people who'd rather live a life supported by indentured and low wage immigrant workers than pay taxes here and support welcoming immigrants as equals.
01.03.2026 21:26 β π 15 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0I feel quite mean saying this but those British multi-millionaire nationals who have βfledβ the UK because of the βhighβ tax regime because life is βbetterβ in the oil funded regimes will now be relying on British tax payers support their travel to safety.
01.03.2026 20:50 β π 28 π 7 π¬ 1 π 0This is an illegal war. The last Labour government was brought down by entering an illegal war. But Starmer has already shown he doesn't learn lessons. I am not best pleased about him making the county I live in a target for reprisals.
01.03.2026 21:31 β π 59 π 4 π¬ 2 π 1Oh great. Make all of us here in Suffolk a target for reprisals why don't you. Thanks very much π‘
01.03.2026 21:19 β π 13 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So concerned that they didn't bother contacting the Election staff until after the poll closed? Never heard of this organisation. Who funds it? And why are they given access to polling stations? In my days running Polling Stations only voters, the police and the candidate agents were allowed in.
01.03.2026 13:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes I feel fine thanks. It had been about 15 hours since the first doses so not as worrying as taking double very close together. But as the BP tablets act as a diuretic to keep the levels stable it means more loo trips!!
01.03.2026 09:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Quite. We usually had a max of 6 ballot booths per station and often people were queuing. We'd staff the busy stations with an extra Poll Clerk to supervise the queues and the booths. My current station in a village hall has just two cardboard cut out booths on top of tables. No queue ever. Bliss π
01.03.2026 08:41 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Our son didn't like chocolate as a child and it took his elderly relatives a while to get the message so we'd end up eating the Easter eggs π He used to get one of the Tank engine models instead. I can eat any amount of chocolate at other times of the day but mornings seem wrong to eat it π
01.03.2026 08:27 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Hear hear
01.03.2026 07:46 β π 11 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Feel free. No need to tell me.
01.03.2026 07:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm sure it must be. It seems to have been a long cold dark winter and when you haven't got good health anyway it really drags you down. At least now it's lighter in the mornings and evenings and we have occasional warm days it does lighten the mood. Take care x
01.03.2026 07:44 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well the people down here in Suffolk are pretty convinced they're using the bases here. Plenty of activity overhead from their aircraft in and out. Is that just a coincidence?
01.03.2026 07:37 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Happy Birthday Eleanor. I've now surpassed that age and can't quite believe it. Used to think it was so old when my parents were it π Mind you when my knees hurt and I can't do what I used to be able to I know I'm no longer a spring chicken! Still good to be here enjoying life. Have a good day.
01.03.2026 07:35 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Morning. Not sure even me, a chocoholic, can face dark chocolate for breakfast π Bit of a damp morning here though not raining atm. Got all the Parish mags delivered yesterday so no tasks today beyond usual Sunday chores like putting bin out. Such an exciting life! Will get on with knitting and TV.
01.03.2026 07:30 β π 13 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is straight out of Trump's playbook. We have strict laws about who can vote and polling staff receive hours of training and the Presiding Officers will be experienced in running a polling station. They know more than that jumped up little racist.
01.03.2026 07:23 β π 20 π 2 π¬ 3 π 0After my aunt died after years of dementia I felt obliged to write to people in her address book to let them know. Not an easy task as hard to decifer as scrawled over with her shaky hand. I did have some nice letters back from some grateful I'd let them know. Old neighbour sent me photos of them.
01.03.2026 07:21 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Morning. A late start for me this morning as I was up a lot in the night. Stupidly when I went to get into bed I saw my pill box unopened for what I thought was that day so took them then realised it wasn't Sunday! So had 2 lots of BP meds. Oops. No π§οΈ yet but damp. Quiet day of chores and knitting.
01.03.2026 07:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh dear. Remind me. Didn't she leave "violent" London to go and live as an immigrant in a "safe" country? Hope she isn't thinking of becoming a refugee back to dear old Blighty. Have you got a dingy Issy?
01.03.2026 07:10 β π 19 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0Well I'm glad I voted Green at the GE and got a Green MP. Will never vote for Labour again while it's so far removed from the Party it was set up to be.
28.02.2026 21:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you.

While we're on the topic of electoral fraud and the unproven allegations about #FamilyVoting, we should remember that there are actual proven cases of Tory / UKIP politicians stealing votes by tricking the elderly in care homes.

The motherfucking draft dodger who called the fallen of war suckers and losers just said out loud that American lives may be lost in a war he has NO FUCKING AUTHORITY to wage?!?
Hello CONGRESS⦠is this thing on??!!
Thanks. Much appreciated.
28.02.2026 15:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Round here the drinkers seem to favour Thatchers Gold Cider and Ted Bull. Not sure what that says about youths living in rural backwaters!

28.02.2026 15:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We've got our annual Parish wide litter pick next month though a number of us pick up on our regular walks. Got worse over the years as people just chuck food/drink waste out of cars. Farmers have permanent skips as people dump in fields and drainage ditches rather than go to the tip π€¬
