I am a committed atheist, but I listened to Talarico's interview and found myself agreeing with much of what he said. The Dems definitely need voices like his to provide a safe landing for religious Republicans seeking a way out of the cruel tactics of the current admin.

Nixon saved Israel in '73 and some Jews loved him for it. Until he tried to end democracy. Don't make the same mistake now. Trump has become Nixon 2.0. Nixon believed he was above the law and tried to upend American democracy. He was also a bully who assisted Israel in its darkest hour, when no one else could.

TX has a new law requiring that the Ten Commandments be posted in all public school classrooms. But, the gov and the Repub reps are ignoring the commandment that says "Thou Shalt Not Steal" as they plot to steal an election in advance. Is there a Commandment that says "Practice Hypocrisy"?

Post mass migration, Miller's Jewish family arrived in the US from Antipol, in what is now Belarus. (My family also came from Antipol). I don't understand how someone whose family was saved by coming to the US can be so virulently anti-immigrant.
