I’ve long wanted to find one of these. It’s an ear pick fungus, #auriscalpiumvulgare that grows on pine cones. In looks a lot bigger in the photo than it actually is, about 1cm tall with the cap about half a cm wide. #ukfungi #pineconefungi

A fungus that looks very like a cauliflower nestled amongst bilberry plants

This morning’s dog walk bonus. Cauliflower fungi, Sparassis Crispa. Tucked away behind the bilberries. So lucky to spot it. #ukfungi #sparassiscrispa

Sun light through beech trees. The sky is blue, the leaves are bright green and there are shadows on the woodland floor in the foreground.

Fantastic autumn sun through the trees this morning. Looks more like spring with the bright greens.

A gannet that is probably around 4 years old. It still has some extra black markings on its wings and has yet to develop the yellow on it’s neck.

A sub adult gannet, probably about 4 years old. Taken at Bempton Cliffs last month.
