I have been through Reform's manifesto for Wales so you don't have to.
(Spoiler, there are a lot of holes in it)
willhaywardwales.substack.com/p/scrutinisi...
Nigel Farage is literally spouting climate change denial in the Reform manifesto launch.
Casting doubt on climate change being man-made.
Nigel Farage starts his speech launching his parties manifesto for WALES by talking about Iran and complaining that Gorton and Denton by-election was "rigged".
Telling that he has mentioned Saddam Hussain more than Wales in the first 5 mins of his speech...
This is the front cover of ReformUK's Welsh manifesto.
If they achieve nothing else during this campaign at least they will always have the manifesto cover most clearly created with ChatGPT.
Reform are denying me access to the Welsh manifesto launch...
Remember a few weeks ago when Reform UK threatened to defund Bangor University in the name of "free speech"?
Well despite repeated requests, Reform are not allowing me to attend their manifesto launch.

It shows a total contempt for free speech and democracy when political parties restrict journalists they fear will challenge them.
If they are willing to do this when they are in opposition, imagine what they will be like if they have all the levers of the state behind them.

In the last week I have attended events and asked questions of the leaders of Plaid Cymru, Labour and the Conservatives. But Reform won't allow it.
The restriction of bonafide journalists from providing legitimate scrutiny is straight from the Trump playbook.

I sat down with Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth who the polls suggest is most likely to be the next First Minister of Wales.
We discussed how we plans to get get concessions from Keir Starmer.

In launching the Welsh Labour manifesto, Eluned Morgan did not mention Keir Starmer once.

Eluned Morgan pledges to "end homelessness in Wales by 2034".
This will seemingly replace their previous 2021 plan to "end homelessness by 2026".
Eluned Morgan has just announced "5 pledges" to the people of Wales in what she has coined "fairness you can feel".

She's will to say:
βAnd hereβs a message to our competitors in this election. You cannot fix waiting times with a hashtag. You cannot grow wages on TikTok. You cannot build a hospital with a committee. You need a plan. You need priorities. You need delivery. Thatβs what Welsh Labour is offeringβ
In Newport today where Eluned Morgan is launching Welsh Labour's Senedd election campaign.
02.03.2026 10:04 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0βThere is a fundamental disconnect between Walesβ needs, defined by Plaid, and what they can realistically achieve. They accurately dissect the challenges Wales faces across a whole range of issues. But this slams into the solid brick wall of the reality that: No more money is comingβ

Part 1 of 3 of @willhaycardiff.bsky.social newsletter about the @plaidcymru.bsky.social party conference
Whether you support Plaid Cymru or not, it's important that they are scrutinised and held to account.

I spent the last two days at the Plaid Cymru conference.
They are the party most likely to form the next Welsh Government so the mood was excited.

Plaid Cymru have published their βfirst 100 day planβ for if they win the election.
On first reading it feels very much like a plan to make a planβ¦.
Take a look at the part on culture.
Full analysis tomorrow in the newsletter.

Plaid leader Rhun ap Iorwerthβs speech was over 5,000 words.
Not one of them was βindependenceβ or βannibyniaethβ.

Wouldn't it be amazing if we had a system where people could just vote for the parties they most like, rather than to stop the party they most hate?
First Past the Post needs to be put out of its misery.
I am starting to worry that "Tactical Choice" was not a reputable website.
