Just published! Check out Coates et al’s new #SystematicReview on the impact of aminoglycosides (antibiotics) on soil & root microbiota. They found that exposure had minimal impact on soil microbe diversity, but there are still many unknowns. #EnvironmentalEvidence #SciPol 🧪🦠

7/The #SDGs Planet Pillar session Kathryn Monk co-chaired brought together voices from environment, health, economics, and community-level experience that strongly underlined what evidence infrastructure really needs to look like.

6/There’s real excitement about what evidence synthesis can become:
✅ Faster
✅ More trusted
✅ More visible
✅ More useful
Not just better reviews, but a better system for turning knowledge into action across sectors and regions.

5/For the CEE community, there’s huge potential for #EnvironmentalEvidence to reshape how we think about evidence synthesis across disciplines, sectors, and systems.

4/Principles often talked about for #EvidenceSynthesis - equity, subsidiarity, transparency, co-production - are showing up in the proposed solutions.

3/In just 6 months, the #ESIC working groups moved from scratch to shared proposals. And people genuinely feel ownership of this next step.

2/At the #CapeTownConsensus meeting, 200+ interest holders came together to shape the final version of a roadmap for global evidence synthesis infrastructure. The result? Real momentum and growing alignment across a diverse community.
