I just filed my first bill for the 2025 Session! HB1601 will improve the data center siting process by requiring VA’s localities look at sound, environmental, & infrastructure factors for siting high-energy facilities. Time for community-focused development!

As we look forward to the 2025 session, I look forward to introducing legislation to put sensible guardrails on data center development in our communities based on JLARC's findings and recommendations.

On 12/9, the JLARC released their landmark study on data centers in VA. Many of us who are concerned about data centers have been eagerly anticipating this independent study. My team and I poured over this 156-page report, and we've assembled some of the most important data here.
