It's hard to let something go that provides that nostalgia, comfort, and safety, especially when lots of spaces I'm involved in are tied to Disney. It's clear they don't hold the same values they used to.

It'll be hard to replace, but I'll be minimally engaging with anything Disney at this point.

For the past 2-3 yrs, Disney was a comfort when things got really bad. Being involved in various Disney spaces taught me it's okay to be 100% me and that's enough...

I already drastically pulled back after Kimmel. This is likely the nail in the coffin. Unbelievably disappointed.

When I began playing w/ real cards, I couldn't fathom how people spent $150 every few months on a box, much less multiple, then bought singles for their deck.

I didn't know how people played more than 1 TCG,

or how they willingly played with expensive, special treatment cards.

Now I do it all 😂

Spotify, Discord, YouTube, etc. are all in their rewind season where they show you stats from the previous year. Most played songs, etc, and the trip down memory lane is difficult this year

These rewinds are brutal.

I drove to my LGS (40 min. one way) on back to back weeknights to play in my first “Nexus night” after @getemgames.bsky.social invited me during Lorcana night.

I think the drive was worth it! 😆

Recent Lorcana pieces have been feelin good to me- it's always such a boost to get to work on characters you're excited about

Even with the release of the files I’m thinking “it’s not over til it’s over.” There’s a part of me that’s worried even with all of this, it won’t be enough. We’ve known about the files forever and nothing’s changed. It would be insane, but unsurprising to me somehow.

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who didn't know about the lights last night.

I definitely felt like this set was better than most for limited play. Enough removal to matter. Stat increases across the board felt great. Didn't feel like there were any cards that were absolutely broken. Can't wait to play sealed next weekend.

I played a draft today! Boost mechanic is fun but didn't come up for me much. I had a nice little combo with Gazelle and 3HT that played well. I played lots of detectives too! Eager to start building around the build mechanic for constructed play locally!
