I agree that I thought Alriksson would have a fighting chance based on his size and recent outburst. But, he's also never been on international radars.
Romani had an uphill climb with tons of offensive talent.

As of now, the only Canucks candidates with the potential to particapte is next year's event are:
Melvin Fernström (Sweden), Basile Sansonnens (Swiss), Parker Alcos (Canada), Riley Patterson (Canada).
Of course, there are still potential trades and the upcoming entry draft.
Tom Willander becomes the first confirmed #Canucks representative at the upcoming World Juniors in Ottawa.
The two remaining potential candidates include Sawyer Mynio (Canada) and Basile Sansonnens (Swiss).

As expected, Tom Willander will be heading to Ottawa to represent team Sweden at this year's World Juniors.
He's the lone #Canucks representative on the team, but he should eat up huge minutes.
Well, I'm not sure if it was so much that he wasn't ready.
It was more a matter of whether it was best of him. Who knows what his ice would look like.
He's silenced all of that, for sure!
