We are assisting Coal Creek Fire & other agencies on a wildland fire along CO Highway 72.
Residents in the Superior & Boulder County areas may see smoke from this, but it is a significant distance from our district.

🚩Red Flag Warning in Effect Until 5 PM 🚩

The NWS in Boulder has issued a Red Flag Warning for areas within our district in both Boulder and Weld counties.

What to Expect
• West winds 15 to 25 mph, gusting up to 45 mph
• Relative humidity as low as 15 percent
• Higher risk for rapid fire growth

Flagstaff Residents! We just received notification that Xcel is shutting down power from 7am to 3:30pm tomorrow for power line maintenance.

Station 10 has backup power and will be able to respond to an emergency if needed.

MVFR crews are on scene of a multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 25 in the northbound lanes at mile marker 242, which is just north of Colorado Highway 119.

At least two lanes are currently blocked and there is heavy traffic building. Please avoid the area, or slow down if that is not possible.

We had an awesome time on Sunday at the Easter Egg Hunt event we co-hosted with the Erie Optimists Club! What a great turnout!

We responded to a vegetation fire on Weld Co. Rd. 32 at 1:20PM Saturday. Crews found a large hay bale on fire. By managing the fire with water and using a front loader crews and the homeowner were able to extinguish the hay bale.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for our area from 12 PM to 8 PM on Saturday.

💨 Winds: 10–20 mph, gusts up to 40 mph
💧 Humidity: As low as 7%
🔥 High fire danger: Rapid fire spread is possible

✅ Postpone any activity that may cause sparks

Expected very strong, gusty winds (45-60+ mph, up to 75 mph near the foothills) and dry fuels will create critical fire weather conditions. Despite humidity levels staying above 15%, the recent dryness and lack of snow cover mean very high to extreme grassland fire danger. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for tomorrow from 7AM until 5PM.

Expected very strong, gusty winds (45-60+ mph, up to 75 mph near the foothills) and dry fuels will create critical fire weather conditions.

About 9 last night a call came into dispatch about a small wildland fire on Flagstaff Road just above the Boulder Star. The fire was in steep terrain just off the roadway & grew to about 200' by 200'.
Units from Boulder Fire, Mountain View Fire Rescue, and Boulder Rural FPD responded.
