The collateral damage from Trump's quest to deport immigrants Minneapolis has become the flashpoint of an aggressive immigration enforcement operation ordered by the Trump administration and pitched as a campaign against undocumented criminals.

Any "analysis" of Ice that doesnt mention it only targets blue states, and this one is led by Walz, misses the point about vengeful Trump, and gives him credibility.

People often invoke George Orwell when discussing the grim state of the world, but Hans Christian Anderson, with his story about a vain, gullible emperor, and the townsfolk who are too afraid to challenge his stupidity, doesn't get the credit he's due.

The fire risk is greater than ever, no matter where you are. Expensive submarines (that we will never get) aren't much use, more firetankers, firefighting aircraft & trained fire-fighters would be a better & more urgent investment. πŸ‘‡ #ClimateChange #Bushfires #Auspol

In Slick, I wrote about how the country's oil and gas industry leadership met at regular dinners to discuss issues like climate change and coordinate their views/responses. I spent a few days last week in the archives and it appears the Australian government helped get them started in 1990.
