This morning's struggle was reworking my intro chapter (and its title)...maaaybe for the seventh time? 😂
[the rest of the 70k novel is staring at me waiting for edits]

Chapter 1 is the part agents see, sometimes the ONLY thing included in Queries. It's so easy to over-think!

Yep, 100% painted with either paintbrush or pin needle! The base coat is regular painted nail polish, but the details were added with acrylic paint + tiny brush, or sometimes needle-dotted for the smallest parts!

(It took about 5 hours to complete 😆 the details were a lot trickier than I thought!)

Honestly I love the look of illustrated covers so much!! I think it adds a personal touch, and I'm a huge supporter of hiring artists. (Following Merilliza right now to support!)

I think I just have Fantasy games on the mind 😆 With my schedule, I don't have time to game as much as I used to -- but I listen to gaming streams & podcasts in the background! Sometimes I swear that gets ideas get stuck in my head.

Worked with a friend earlier in the year to create a "Date with a Book" gift basket. Basket was auctioned at the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (CARD) program at USF.

My friend just emailed saying they reached their funding goals! So happy to have taken part!

Mostly I do these things out of necessity 🤣 I live by myself atm, which has its pros/cons, but it does mean if I want those dishes done...yep, I gotta do it!

🙌 feeling this today. usually I try to DIY everything (Lawn mowing? Car repairs? This girl is DOING IT!) But today I finally caved and had groceries delivered just once, because I needed a Rest day and couldn't handle the grocery store.

Knowing when to get a lil help is just so important ❤️

Maps for sure! Excel spreadsheets with notes of character descriptions (sortable columns for "eye" or "hair" colour) Documents with scene descriptions sorted by location. Then doodles of important people/objects as reference!!

Not full aphantasia, but my mind can be very fuzzy & inconsistent!

I appreciate it! 😂 Honestly, I liking making my own stuff when I can!! I might be a one-gal team for these vids but I aim for ~Charm~

I didn't even think about stitching ivory on white! I'd need to get in to the eye doctor to get my reading glasses updated 🥲 I'd be squinting so much!

Still, I love working with my hands. Its one of the few things that clears my head! Absolutely glad you're having fun with this

My recent reads are from my indie author friends! 😆 "Heroes of Another Age" by B.L. Mostyn and "Dancing in the Purple Rain" by Judy Mohr!
My personal read is "Daring Greatly" by Brené Brown (rereading for the third time!)

This books looks so cool though!! Checking out Founders Trilogy for sure!

Oh my gosh, this is darling!! Cross-stitch is about the only sewing I can do, and it takes me hours just to make a single letter, so a full color design is AMAZING!

I'll be posting about this closer to the date! Too early, and I've had people see promo posts and think ebook is free *now* and become confused when it isn't.

Honestly, backwards reading is good advice! It's great for Book Blurbs and Sales Descriptions, because they're short enough that reading backwards isn't too tricky -- and could catch things like this!

I was ready for typos in the script 😂 Will be more vigilant on sales write-ups next time!
