Very weird to see this in a week where I have started listening to John Grant (Pale Green Ghosts) out of the blue.

I don’t mind VAR but I do mind how long it takes. If you can’t make a decision within a minute with footage then it isn’t an obvious error and the decision on the pitch should stand.

I was Paddington. However the shift from 3 degrees to 16 degrees over two hours meant I had to ditch the duffel coat and hat for cooler, more menopause friendly attire in the afternoon!

Kids or staff?

We do talk to other schools. We spend our whole time trying to balance the books. Locally we are all in the same boat. I wasn’t just posting about my school.

They are in big trusts.

Do they really not know the dire financial situation schools are in? Once more for those at the back… there is nothing left to save.

I will do. It was one of four books I bought along with The Woman at Ocean’s End, This, My Second Life and Soyangri Book Kitchen. I think I’ll do this one next though, although I have to finish Butter first - it’s the third time I’ve started it and think I might finish it this time!

It was one of those where I couldn’t leave the house until I finished it!

I got carried away in a bookshop on holiday yesterday and bought this. I was attracted by the gingham cover! Hoping I like it more that you did!
