my favorite thing about the LAU titles is how cozy and warm they feel. Much of that is owed to Keeley Hawes as Lara, she is utterly phenomenal, but the general level design, music, atmosphere, etc all contribute. They're the definition of comfort games. Woulda loved to see TR2 in the same light!

super sick that Tomb Raider Anniversary is finally on PS5 (we just need Underworld and the Lara Croft spinoff titles now!) cuz I love that game but I am in constant mourning over TR2 not getting a similar remake/reimagining before they moved on to the Survivor trilogy

here's how my Resident Evil franchise replay is coming along in prep for Requiem 🥸 might add in Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles. Don't currently have easy access to Survivor, Dead Aim or Mercs 3D but would love to add them. Also might end up recruiting somebody for some RE6 shenanigans...

also it frees up a DPS spot so I'm getting a lot of Jean matches in 🐦‍🔥 usually I try to be the guy that lets everybody pick what they want first, which is usually DPS, but with Gambit taking priority it's allowed me some breathing room. Really fun mix of characters for me now eeeeeee

this new season of Rivals is prolly the most fun start I've had with the game, just a bunch of really fun and solid matches so far (pls don't let me jinx myself)

Gambit's the most fun strategist in the game BY FAR for me personally and it's nice to see ppl auto locking support for once!

if I'm a betting man I'd say Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is totally gonna happen some day (some years after Tōkon) and Leon, Lady Dimitrescu, Juri Han, Rashid, Nero, Miyamoto Musashi, Magik, Nightcrawler, Daredevil, Blade, Scarlet Witch and Luna Snow are all going to debut (wait and see!)

I know it's a little silly but alternate costumes are so integral to me when it comes to Resident Evil 😭 Some of my favorite designs and imagery in gaming come from what RE has offered before & it adds 10x the amount of replayability for me. It's a genuine relief to see Requiem including them!!!

they tend to ignore the live action movies for the most part, but I do find this a charming as well as fitting way to honor their part in the franchise's history!
