I had a LOT of feelings while making this frantically made quilt.
I used a standard Ohio star block pattern. Colors were pulled directly from an illustration of a quilt by Rani Ban. It’s not a perfect representation at all, but it gets the feeling across for me, and that’s what is important here.

Spending the afternoon puttering around my absolute mess of my favorite place. Maybe if I straighten it up, I’ll get some things done?

I’ve been feeling creatively starved lately due to a crunch on my personal time, but the last two evenings, my 11 year old nephew and I have worked on learning how to crochet together and it’s been soothing for me. I still need to find more time for myself, but these evenings have been fabulous. 🧢

Wait a minute, does this app actually show us the posts in the honest to goodness order that the people we follow are posting them?

Literally, this the best thing I’ve seen all day.

I’m needing some soft things right now, so for a bit, I think I’m just post some photos that I’ve taken recently that just make me feel happiness inside. I collected all these on a beach walk at the ocean this past weekend on a beautiful day with a good friend I hadn’t seen in far too long.

Time to rip the band-aid off and post the first post! Recently knitted this PΓΌhalepa Hat by Raina Kruss. I had hoped the pattern would have shown a bit better in these colors (happy little flies!) but it’s definitely fun and most importantly, very warm. It’s found a near permanent spot on my head.
