Standing behind goal on this one and my brain went from “oh darn it’s a foot wide” to “OMG the curve!” so fast!

Not enough attention is given to the impact of displacing the food carts. I work downtown and that was the bustling center of workers and tourists alike. Now it’s an ugly barely used tower and Flock is a weak replacement.

With the current city council I don’t think they’ll get public money and they shouldn’t.

The force of the AI advertising reminds me of the collect call campaigns of the early 90s. Ads everywhere for a product we don’t need. May AI go the way of 1-800-collect🤞

Drivers are looking at their phones constantly. I mostly walk and bike and see it downtown and everywhere. Don’t even try to hide it.

I also hope we don’t forget all the local folks who’ve spent years spreading the “portland is a hellhole” narrative to gain short-term political power and/or social media clout.

They provided ammo to the Trump machine. They fed the false narrative and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

The Portland police are even testifying that federal agents are the aggressors. The police!

Ha! I wore Blundstones yesterday and decided on Tevas this morning because I want to squeeze in one last sandal day.

Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised that people are willing to sacrifice the ability to think for a climate change disaster machine writing a report for them, but I am!

Finding out someone is the polar opposite of their public persona and treats both strangers and employees terribly seems a fine reason to not support them 🤷‍♀️

I feel this so deeply. Thrifting mostly depresses me now because all the fun stuff has been culled and sold to vintage stores.

Really trying to focus on the positives: my novel got a full manuscript request by a terrific agent. She ultimately passed but at least I know my query letter is solid. Rejection gets a little easier but sometimes it hits hard 🙁#writingcommunity #amquerying
