Nah. She would have been a pretty much middle of the line President hobbled by a narrow margin in Congress and likely a minority in the Senate, she would not have inclination or power for any radical steps.
HOWEVER...
I doubt y'all will be in any of the current hot messes.

Or by "I may not like this, but politics is too confusing and I don't care about that and besides both sides and besides the guy in the TV says this is fault of other countries so what can we do..."?

08.03.2026 10:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That is something GOP worked out and on for decades and it paid off, while Democratic voters tend to grant slim majorities for presidential election year and then log off for midterms and let the GOP have it for a prolonged time. You need to build margins in your voting block.

No. The trick is to have enough votes in the first place that whatever you want does not hinge on two or three people with questionable leanings.
Because that then means the few firebrands you already have can work on getting actual majorities - that will in turn demonstrate it can be done.
"The dems" did, or "the Senator who was widely praised as the next best Progressive thing by Democratic Socialists" did? ;)
The trick is getting enough votes in both chambers that few individuals dropping out will not kill the things you want. MAGAs got the idea, you did not as it seems.
Shrug. If it was "wrong AI information", does not remove the guilt from people approving and executing the strike. It just puts it on the AI company as well.

04.03.2026 23:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As it is, y'all now have launched into a religious war against Iran and I kinda do not see all of the "Both sides are the same" folks doing... Anything. Except actually still attacking Democrats more than Trump and still claiming they'd rather stay home.
04.03.2026 14:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you could not get over that, you are part of the reason you have... Pretty much the exact opposite. You may not have gotten the Universal Healthcare, you would not have had people kicked off Medicare. You may not sort out world hunger, you would not have actively made it worse.

If there was enough demand for it, there would bea viable third party. They can emerge even in majority systems.
There is not. If you want to get your dream policies, you need to get the votes where it matters.
If you don't, you own the result. Again... Your Utopia was not on the ticket.
Shrug. Yes, if there is no other choice in your district, or you will end up without voting power and steamrolled by the R's.
You may not like it, but if your paragons of virtue do not have large enough margin of votes they will do nothing. You need enough votes few missing will not sink you.

Or....
They are treating this as a test run for November.
"How well can we disrupt the polls by judicial decisions on the day, causing lasting damage"?
Even if such decision fails on appeal, worst "sanction" is re-running the elections, I guess... Which will most likely get fewer voters.
Then again from the comfort of trans-ocean viewpoint... The correct motto should not be "vote blue no matter what", but "win against MAGA..."
Thing is, most candidates capable of doing that will be D. No other movement seems to be interested in actually running. Even DSA do so on D ballot.
...and you could now actually campaign for all the topics you wanted instead of them being pushed into the background by the triage of "will we actually be able to vote at least in the closest Midterms? And who are we going to bomb tomorrow?"
04.03.2026 12:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Shrug. If y'all voted blue no matter what, millions of people would still have their food aid, your brown neighbors would not have to shelter in place, you likely won't be bombing Iran, and your president would not be planning beachfront projects in Gaza preceded by "removing" the population...
04.03.2026 12:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0
...and ultimately, if your candidate loses the Primary... Vote for the winner in the Midterms. Even if you do not vote in the Primary, vote for the winner in the midterms...
Both have their strong points. And across the ocean neither seems poised to pull a Fetterman.
