He’s a turd for sure, but rescue workers don’t need a presidential road show to add to the chaos. I’m more concerned by his lack of understanding that his “beautiful” budget will lead to more deaths, injuries and loss of property through natural disasters.

Blame also goes to the Texas Republican government. Decades of poor state-wide infrastructure planning and replacement, loose zoning laws, reluctance to attack and fund flooding as a state-wide problem instead of local issues.

NOAA falls under Homeland Security. Kristi Noem has already thrown the agency under the bus for initially issuing a moderate flood risk. Perhaps if NOAA scientists wore camo she’d throw more money to them.
