The call started at 5:50pm. I got an email about it at 5:46pm, as a constituent who receives Onder's email newsletter. Sounds like I didn't miss much. The last 10 minutes I caught were bad enough.

Turns out voters in a very blue city wanted to hear less about things like reparations panels and having social workers replace cops and more about making the community safer and more livable.

St Louis city politics may help to explain. The progressive mayor just lost her job to a more moderate Democrat in a landslide, primarily because she focused heavily on progressive causes instead of managing basic services like trash pick-up & snow removal. And was seen by some as anti-police.
