And a reminder: those entities who've bought Warner Bros over the past 50-60 years have also been pretty eager to unload it. Just sayin'.

music dork, movie nerd, tv junkie, gaming goofus...opinions mine, unfortunately. For work I spend lots of time surveying public opinion on all kinds of stuff. Also: St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, Mizzou, and Tottenham Hotspur. #COYS

It is *so weird* how his movie career just fell off a cliff over the past 2 decades or so, huh?

One thing I'll wonder on for a while is if Paul Weller ever gets in. Because he's someone where US audience go "Huh?" But it is hard to accurately describe just how HUGE The Jam was from 1977-1983 across the pond. And then he hit big again in the 1990s and 2000s as a solo artist.

Love that an entire new generation is hearing MacArthur Park & thinking "What even is this batshit song, anyway?"
And then six hours later, like every generation before them realizing that it has permanently imprinted on their brains.
God bless Donna Summer, Jimmy Webb, and Giorgio Moroder.
Good on Connor Hellebuyck. He's had a bit of a rep, and I think over in Italy today he kinda buried at least some of that.

NHL used to be a little more like that 3-on-3 a ways back, but at least in the men's game, it turns out that possession is THE super important thing.
Not sure which way I prefer. That was a fun OT.

And as ever, the late great Scott Miller comes to mind:
"Your ears are always right, the embarrassment is always wrong."
It's uses Todd Rundgren Chordsβ’, and incredibly effectively, depyloying one set of Something/Anythingβ’ chords in the verse, and then switching to Hermit Of Mink Hollowβ’ chords for the chorus.
The greatness of that song is that it's a music geek song that somehow fooled MTV into playing it.
Had the privilege of working at one of the coolest, hippest record stores on the planet in the 1990s (I was the least-cool person there.)
My co-workers and I played the hell out of that song and that entire CD when it came out, and sold a fair few of them. Hating that song is like hating joy.
Lydia sadly passed way too young, back in 2007. It's cool that that bandcamp just reposted is keeping her music and poetry alive.
"Little Dead Bodies" still just...hits my brain exactly right. It's sad, it's funny, and it possesses incredible empathy.
LRS: Algebra Suicide -- which was a recording project featuring Lydia Tomkiw's laconic sing-speaking and remarkable poetry -- remain one of the happiest discoveries of my college daze.
I found a copy of their album "The Secret Like Crazy" about 20 years ago. It is one of my sacred possessions.
