I think this also highlights an issue where even many artists don't know what graphic design work looks like (using assets, mirroring/repeating patterns, modifying photos instead of drawing from scratch etc) happened with Mariah May's merch/titantron too, made by her long term merch designer.

The design that became her titantron graphic was originally a piece of merch art people claimed was AI. The designer had to explain their process of working from a photo and adding texture/pattern assets etc. It doesn't look drawn because it's not, but that doesn't automatically make it AI.
