I completed a very rewarding task to help an education client hire a marketer to get them into the rhythm of planning, publishing and promotion.

Happy to say we found the perfect person very quickly - and they even brought in cakes at the wrap-up meeting today.
Nice! πŸͺ

I loved hearing from @carolecadwalla.bsky.social, @eliothiggins.bsky.social at @thersaorg.bsky.social event Disinformation and Democracy.

Stand-out quote, from Liz Pendleton @mediarevolution.mo-me.social: "We keep on looking at the clown, when we should be looking at the circus."

Been out and about exploring communications from all sorts of different angles - inside out, back to front, and upside down.

I just can't fathom it. How are they thinking like this, let alone giving it the green light?

I haven't read the piece but the title alone, is this not just good old-fashioned homophobia? The word rumoured as well, very snide. And on the front cover. What IS going on?!

I do hope so. Just so you know to look for it, it's coming back from Cambridge, near the Landbeach/Waterbeach junction. I just went past it on my way to the garage! Grrr. Very long and deep, rather than an obvious round pothole. Impossible to see in the dark until too late

And a lady came out from her house, made us tea, then went back in and told her husband he could cook the kids' dinner - and came and sat in the car with me to keep me company.

People are bloody lovely sometimes, aren't they? ❀️

Another couple pulled up behind me, hazards on, inspecting the car - same pothole. Their RAC guy said there were a further six round the corner! But they kept on checking in with me, how kind

I had such a good week, then driving home last night, all cheerful, tunes on, I hit a *massive* pothole.

Burst tyre; managed to safely turn off onto a quieter road; spent nearly 5 hours there before getting rescued by a guy with two black eyes from accidentally breaking his nose with a jackhammer

Presented draft ideas to the Board; lots of positive energy, and we're very close... πŸ™πŸ»

Was a biggie! Delighted to see the Cambridge Trust new website go live and the launch of the Opening Doors video, a project I've been working on since September.

A relationship going back to 2018, I'm always proud to support their work.

Just saw a coach on LinkedIn explain how a client cried in one of her sessions, so she uploaded the transcript to Claude & got it to analyse her coaching technique. Turned the tips into a carousel.
No mention of whether the client consented to having her emotional, private thoughts used in this way

Yes, I really enjoyed it... I think if you look at it as a Wuthering Heights remix, where different parts of the melody are enhanced and other parts are taken out, it works. Plus I loved the costumes/sets/cinematography. Enough to overlook the way it played fast and loose with the actual plot!

Verdict: Well I rather enjoyed that. Beautiful cinematography, fabulous costumes... pretty much every line near the beginning had me thinking er, that's not right... But if you see it as a Wuthering Heights remix rather a literal film version of the book, it's great.
Now for the snooty reviews!

I'm going to see Wuthering Heights tonight. As usual, I've deliberately not read reviews in advance because I like to make my own mind up. Plenty has filtered through though!

I've read it twice; think it's best to go in not expecting a literal retelling of the original...

I started in radio just at the end of that era; reel-to-reel tape and razor blades, and I used to take that week's BBC Radio 2 country show down to reception next to Broadcasting House in a big box saying BBC on the side. The salary I was on it was cheaper than getting a courier πŸ˜‚

I had an excellent day at the Small Business Charter Help to Grow: Management alumni meetup. Loved Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts' perspective on the early days of the internet, when the landscape was still being carved out.
