I think this is a first for me: designing a new character from scratch as a digital sculpture. Usually I draw or sometimes conventionally sculpt first. I’m working in Nomad Sculpt, and this video is at 2X speed.

I don't have a clever name for it, though

If you cut a q-tip in half and get yourself a straw, you have a great blow dart.

If you manage to get a sewing needle into the pointy end, it's a great weapon for shooting your younger cousins.

It's the culmination of what I've been working towards, multiple storylines I can float between as writer/artist.
It was previously printed as 3 minicomics, and these won the Bedelys award at MCAF for best indy English Comic, and 4.3 won best scifi from the minicomics awards!

Fun fact about book 3:
There's a mural that features in the main story line, seen in screenshot below. It's inspired by a real mural my brother and I painted in our hometown back in 2007.
the mural is made up of hundreds of portraits, each commissioned by a local resident.

Fun fact about book 2:
I stole the layout for page 45 from one of my brother's very first comics, drawn nearly 20 years ago!
Also, the name of Orlando's ship, the Phantom Artist, came from putting my name into the Wutang Clan name generator, like Childish Gambino.

Fun fact about HΩME vol.1: Patrick finds a golf course hidden in the captain's quarters, a private bio-dome atop ARC29. When I drew this I hated golf, it just seemed like a leisure sport that could fit inside the world I'd created. While researching it to better draw it, I fell in love.
