as a species, we need to get real about the fact that cis men are the sex & gender most naturally interested in parenting and always have been, and parents need to start raising boys with the assumption that they will need domestic labor & childcare skills in order to have the families they want

this is not complicated

cis men’s worst case scenario for having a baby is being broke and stressed out, cis women’s worst case scenario for having a baby is a very painful death

obviously one of those people is going to be naturally more wary of having a baby than the other
