Gwen, a stalwart dog lover, admirable dry gardener, and pillar of our community has passed away. She will be missed, and her memory already reminds me to be kind to our fur beasts. So far my list of what makes us human: bodies and faith. And I’m an atheist. Very embodied ATM. What I lack in gawd I make up for in midnight migraines.

I’ve been thinking about how we refer to AI. The wife calls Claude her robot. And in the book I’m reading, the MC calls their AI assistant a machine. Both of these feel like they’re ascribing bodies or physically to the AI, which is one thing they really don’t have, IMO.
