The different pieces could be product pages. The main metal part, and then say it needs a 12mm band. You can have a menu link to 12mm bands. Customers could add one to the cart. Then other pieces like hands, if those are separate. Useful too because it can track stock qty.

I don't know if Shopify makes sense at your scale, but having worked at an online merchant that used it, I know that you can put color/size options within a listing, with photos.
Etsy also has a dropdown for color/material options, so you may be able to make something like that work.

I used to buy a lot of paper products from Target, but now I have cloth napkins and silicone containers. Also those little laundry sheets in recycled paper boxes instead of big plastic jugs. Quality of life improvements that save money and are better for the environment.
