From that point, it is a race against the clock to stop Emet Selch before Valzin becomes his worst nightmare: the reason for everyone's demise.

End of Lore.

Finally, after the events with Vauthry, the true identity of the Exarch and his abduction by Emet Selch, Valzin had reached the lowest he had even been since the bloody banquet.

He looks in the mirror and sees the Sin Eater he is becoming. An Apex Predator that will doom all he loves.

Valzin tries to hide the worst of these symptoms from his friends all this time to keep them from worrying too much, but the dark, feral and hungry look in his eyes is all the Scions need to know, of a terrible truth.

Their best friend and hero...was running out of time.

After Storge, things were getting even worse. The aether was becoming too much to bare. Resting was difficult with the nightmares and the hunger pangs ravaging his body.

Even when his body was full until he puked, he still wasn't satiated. And the people around him...were looking very appetizing.

After Eros, he began to hallucinate, seeing a monster sharing his reflection. His vision at times would have a white tint at the edges. Even his crush on Alisaie began to turn into a desire to gorge on her flesh.

Valzin was horrified with himself, but he still had control.

Upon reuniting with Y'shtola however is when he began to question himself when she mistook him for a Sin Eater. Made even worse when he overheard the conversation between her and Urianger.

Something IS wrong with him. The hunger wasn't natural.

After Titania, he felt even hungrier but figured that he might've skipped a meal or two. He would've been a bit paranoid over what the Fae might put in his food.

However, upon returning to the Crystarium, he began to...feel different. Even had thoughts about eating his own Chocobo, Sunny.

Every time he slew a Lightwarden and took in their corrupted light aether, he also took in a part of their ravenous, insatiable hunger.

After Philia, barely noticable. Maybe a bit more hungry than usual, but he just figured he worked up the appetite.

A bit hard to see (and not my main glam), but this is a mix of an aiming hood, gloves from the starting reaper gear, two parts black mage and the pants are from a holiday event.

This was a very interesting idea as a WoL question.

Valzin has been through a lot, but came out of it so much better than most people thought he would.

From under the Garlean thumb to a desperate soul struggling to survive. And now, he is living the best he can between crisises.

Valzin wearing a Gold Saucer bunny suit has used Inner Release and is about to smash something or someone into paste with a Dwarven Mithril Hammer.

Either Valzin is taking his (temporary) job at catching cheaters too seriously, has had enough of losing at Crystal Tower Striker or he found his target. Either way, someone is getting the ban hammer.
