There are some annoying things with macOS still like the whole CMD/CTRL keybinds, the way full screen app views work, only supporting dual monitors with using a hacky displaylink dock....., etc.

But it's growing on me.

I've been driving a MacBook Air M4 daily for work for a few months now. I think I understand the appeal.

As a long time Windows / Linux user it is extremely nice not having to fight the OS on stupid stuff. Like OS updates bricking my boot drive... Windows.. or my video driver just dying.. Debian..

All I gotta say is I seriously dislike Sonicwall's UI and how they handle network interfaces on their firewall appliances.

When your architecture diagram needs its own zoom levels to be readable, is that thorough documentation or a sign you've overengineered everything?

Great way to wake up this morning. Thankfully our prod stack in us-east-1 was fine. Just couldn't scale lol

Definitely busy! Thankfully this env and the previous two are a single region. Prod is different and will be the most anxiety inducing switch yet haha.

Gonna be doing some prod migrations next week across 4 regions.

DB servers are next once all the services are done. That's gonna be fun. Though the cost savings are gonna be so worth it.

Stayed up a little later than normal playing #BF6. Arguably the most fun I've had in a game, at launch, since BF4.

Finally a good battlefield game. Also it's nice to see Cod suck cause they definitely needed the pressure.

Day 2 of using Omarchy as my main OS. Coming from Windows, I only miss PowerToys, mostly the PowerToys Run since the flexibility it has is hard to replace. I would love to find something similar for Omarchy.

One of the downsides of being the sole Ops guy at work is coming back to a project and trying to remember where I stopped at.

Like I'm currently converting one of our AWS environments to ARM and I don't remember where I stopped at. Another project assumed priority for a while. 😢

Wife and I started having issues with our LTE connected Pixel Watch 2's on Google Fi. Contacted Google and after some troubleshooting they approved an out of warranty RMA for both. Just got my replacement today and it's been working good.

Was actually a pleasant experience.

My dad asked me if the starting relay circuit was next and I literally responded with "you shut ur mouth" 😂😭

I swear he likes to jinx me on purpose.

It's the year of car issues for me apparently. First it was the Subi having electrical issues. Fixed that.

Then it was the SUV having a coolant intrusion flaw that required a new engine. Fuck you #Ford.

Then the Subi died again. New starter and a new ignition coil pack.

It was in fact not the last day. Still dealing with mild symptoms.

Also work pls give more DevOps resources 😭

Finally have a new project at work that requires brand new pipelines. Can do some #terraform flexing 💪😏
