I'm moving away from Spotify to something a bit more aligned with my values.

Considering Tidal, but I was also curious about any self-hosting option... If anyone has experience with either (or something else entirely), I'd love your opinion.

I think usually it's when they go from being mantained by indipendent/small teams to big corporation (Instagram -> Meta, etc...)

Yeah, I agree that social platforms can truly connect us.. most were founded on that promise.
But there’s usually a tipping point where the drive for profit begins to outweigh the actual human value they could provide.

I think the great temptation of social media is the promise of connection, a constant sense of contact with other people.

Being able to see them at any moment and in any context creates a sense of closeness and presence.

To reiterate I agree with every point made, I just don’t know how it would be implemented in practice

I completely agree with Kubilius stance, but I fail to see how this plan could be implementend in short time…

It seems to me too many countries in the Eu fail to cooperate to the point suggested by Kubilius

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stay soft in a world that keeps asking you to harden up.

Pay attention to what steadies you — a quiet moment, a voice, a song — and keep those things close. They ain’t escapes; they’re anchors.
