To fix this, we need to stop trying to "fix" women and start auditing our prototypes. What parts of our job descriptions are functional necessities, and what parts are just identity projections?

The core mechanism: Dominant groups project their own attributes and behaviors (e.g., total availability) onto the prototype of valued roles. This explains why we see the glass ceiling (exclusion of the non-prototypical) and the glass cliff (withdrawal of projection during crises).

Why do glass ceilings and glass cliffs persist? I propose a unified theoretical answer in my new paper: the Gender Projection Model (GPM). It moves beyond "biases" to look at how we construct the very definition of competence. ⬇️

A few thoughts on academic civility, the paradigm ceasefire, and the challenge posed to critical social psychology by the misdiagnosis of the replicability crisis.

Based on the idea that the Harré quote below would be seen as terribly poor form if uttered by a prominent social psychologist today.

Dans ce cas, la matrice de variance-covariance observée est identique à celle reproduite par le modèle, ce qui rend les indices d’ajustement inutiles (par exemple, le 𝜒2 est nul, et les indices comme le RMSEA sont parfaits).

Ton problème c'est que un modèle de médiation (simple) est saturé. Un modèle saturé a autant de paramètres estimés que d’informations disponibles dans les données (degrés de liberté = 0).

A mon avis, il suffit de ne pas dire que tu fais des SEM (ce qui est le cas, si tu as utilisé les moyennes, plutôt que des variables latentes), mais dire que tu fais une analyse de pistes causales "path analysis" (ou même une analyse de médiation) à la place.

Si tes indices d'ajustements sont trop parfaits, j'imagine (mais je peux me tromper) que tu utilises les moyennes plutôt que les variables latentes, non ?

Si tu veux faire des SEM avec Jamovi, tu peux installer le module semlj de Marcello Gallucci. Si tu veux faire une médiation (pour comparer), tu peux utiliser le module jamm de Gallucci.
